Metabolic Conditioning (METCON) is an exercise program that makes use of two energy pathways. The immediate and intermediate energy pathways. To tap into these pathways, exercises get a time cap and intensity levels are high. This is the ultimate program for improving fitness. The CrossFit community often makes use of this style of training in their classes.
METCON’s follow either a HIIT (high-intensity interval training) format or circuit training. The goal is to achieve and sustain a high effort output over a short period of time. This needs to completed with as little rest as possible between each workout.
Our 60-minute MTCN class includes various movements and equipment. They begin with a warm-up before going into specific movement warmups based on the Workout of the Day. The class then ends with a cool down and stretch. No matter what the Workout of the Day is, you will burn a lot of calories and sweat in this class.
This class will benefit anyone looking to improve over-all fitness. It’s not a training specific class. No skill’s required before attending one of these classes. METCON movements include pull-ups, deadlifts, kettlebell swings, jumping squats, ball slams and burpees.
SKILL class focuses on improve overall crossfit performance through skill development.
Crossfit skills like muscle-ups, double-unders, handstand walking, kipping handstand push-ups, and toes-to-bar don’t just arrive naturally during workouts. You need to dedicate time to developing these skills, which is why we offer the Skills Class at MVMT CrossFit.
We work hard during WODs and strive to lift heavier loads and achieve quicker times through more efficient movements. It’s very difficult to develop these skills during a workout though so you need dedicated time to do this.
The Skills Class is for all fitness levels. We are proud to say that everyone that steps into our class and works through the various progressions has shown significant improvement.

Creating a community at MVMT is important to us and we could think of no better way of doing this than to create a time where coaches and members can train together. There is just something special about sharing a workout with someone.
Our WKND Warrior class is open to ALL MVMT members. This is a fun 90 minute class, which brings to fitness community together through team work in the workout of the day.
The class consists of functional fitness movements which include pull-ups, deadlifts, kettlebell swings, jumping squats, ball slams and burpees etc. All movements will be scaled according to where each person is in their fitness journey.
Our WKND Warrior class also focuses on team building skills as teams learn to work together through most movements.
